With less than a month to go, preparations are underway for the 10th edition of Global Exhibitions Day (GED) – set to take place on Wednesday, 4 June 2025.
Launched by UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) in 2016, GED is a gathering for the global exhibition industry (intended to celebrate the sector’s economic and social contributions).
This year’s theme – “Exhibitions Unleash Potential” – is centred around how exhibitions can grow businesses, push for innovation and make communities more tightly-wound through face-to-face connections.
This day is an opportunity to celebrate the people and partnerships that drive progress and to highlight how exhibitions continue to shape a more connected … future,” said UFI president Hugh Jones.
The 2025 campaign centres around four pillars:
- Industries – Exhibitions driving business
- Individuals – Supporting careers
- Communities – Fuelling local economies
- Companies – Growing revenue and networks
UFI is calling on the industry to get involved using the official GED 2025 Toolkit, now available on the campaign website. Suggested activities include local campaigns, social media engagement using #GED2025, outreach to government officials, and partnering with media to promote the sector’s impact.
GED is supported by more than 70 industry associations worldwide.
