Terrapinn, global exhibition organiser, has appointed Asghar Maqsood as its new group digital and AI director.
Maqsood comes equipped with strong experience in the events and digital space. His previous roles include managing director at Punnoo Ltd, head of product at Informa and head of product management at Mott MacDonald.
Maqsood will be leading Terrapinn’s ‘digital transformation’. The move highlights the increasingly important role AI has in business, especially events. With a dedicated leader for all things AI, it is unlikely he will be the last appointment in the events industry specifically for AI purposes.
