The Power of Events, a not-for-profit organisation established in 2023 to improve understanding and recognition of the UK events industry, has announced the launch of a new regional hub for its UK Schools Engagement Programme.
The new hub, based in the North West, will cover Liverpool, Cheshire, and Manchester. It marks the programme’s largest regional expansion to date.
The initiative aims to connect school-aged young people with the events industry by providing information about potential career paths and roles across the sector. The first school engagements are scheduled to begin in early May.
The programme seeks to reach 30,000 students across the region within its first year. As part of the initiative, industry professionals are encouraged to register as ambassadors.
The engagement programme is part of a broader strategy to address workforce challenges and raise awareness of opportunities within the events sector.
