UFI looking to shape the future of exhibitions in its centenary year at its 92nd Global Congress

UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, has announced the official theme for the 92nd UFI Global Congress will be: ‘Shaping the Future’.

Taking place 19-22 November 2025 in Hong Kong SAR, this year’s edition will unite global exhibition industry leaders in what is UFI’s centennial year. UFI says the Shaping the Future theme will set the tone for a forward-looking programme that will explore:

  • Innovation in business models, technology and customer engagement
  • The future of venues as agile, experience-driven platforms
  • Sustainability and resilience in an era of global challenges

Chris Skeith OBE, UFI CEO and managing director, said: “As we celebrate UFI’s centennial year, there has never been a more important time to look ahead with ambition and purpose.

“With ‘Shaping the Future’ as our theme, this Congress will challenge us to think differently, push boundaries, and define what the next century of exhibitions will look like.”

Set against the backdrop of AsiaWorld-Expo, the Congress will include speakers from within and beyond the industry, global trend briefings, case studies, and collaborative formats designed to spark action and cross-regional insight. It will also feature special centennial moments reflecting UFI’s 100-year theme: Honouring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Shaping the Future.

This year’s Next Generation Leaders (NGL) winners, who were challenged with the mission of ‘Redefining Exhibition Formats’,”will also look to the future. Their bold ideas and experimental thinking will showcase innovative and unconventional event concepts designed to inspire the next evolution of our industry.

UFI invites the 50,000+ industry professionals from its member companies, along with colleagues from partner associations – SISO, ICCA, and AIPC – to its premier annual gathering.
