GES is continuing its work with the sustainability-focused Better Stands initiative, with particular emphasis on its reusable modular product, Show Ready. The programme, launched by media company Informa, encourages exhibitors and their contractors to move away from single-use exhibition stands in favour of those that can be reused or recycled.
GES was one of the first partners of the initiative, which aligns with its long-standing focus on sustainable event solutions. Show Ready, introduced in 2018, is designed to reduce waste by ensuring all stand components are either reused or recycled after each event.
To date, GES has delivered around 2,500 Show Ready Exhibitor Packages, with over 450 used in 2025 so far. The product is positioned as a central part of GES’s environmental strategy, particularly within its ESG commitments.
“We have been a proud partner of this initiative since its inception and look forward to watching it shape change within our industry. Show Ready continues to play an integral role in our ESG programme and we’re excited to see the way in which it is supporting clients’ sustainability choices,” said Natalie Wing, commercial director at GES EMEA Exhibitions.
GES EMEA has also published a “Roadmap to Net Zero”, outlining a pathway to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The report details existing measures taken by the company, such as removing emissions-intensive materials from its portfolio and replacing them with sustainable alternatives.
