In a time when sustainability has become a critical mandate, Full Circle Events & Exhibitions is not just responding to the call helping redefine the standards.
With bold commitments, pioneering innovations, and a people-first culture, the company is championing a smarter, greener, and more responsible events industry.
From day one, Full Circle has recognised that meaningful change demands more than just good intentions. It requires strategy, accountability, and action. And as the events landscape evolves, Full Circle continues to set the pace, committed to shaping an industry that thrives in harmony with the planet.
Embedding sustainability at the core
“At Full Circle, sustainability is not a campaign, it’s a mindset,” says CEO Steve Comar. “We’re building an organisation where every decision, from the workshop floor to the boardroom, reflects our responsibility to the environment and our community. The exhibition industry is ready for change, and we’re proud to help lead that transformation.”
This ethos is reflected in every aspect of the business, from eco-conscious material choices and circular design principles to investments in technology and employee wellbeing.
Tier 5 ESSA Accreditation: Setting the benchmark
Full Circle has proudly achieved Tier 5 status under the ESSA Sustainability Accreditation – the highest level awarded. This achievement recognises excellence in environmental management, transparency, and leadership, and is a testament to the company’s commitment to real, measurable progress.
The effort was led by Full Circle’s dedicated Green Team and embraced across the business, reflecting a unified approach to change that goes beyond compliance.
Sustainable materials and smarter infrastructure
Central to Full Circle’s environmental strategy is a commitment to long-life, reusable materials. Its ecoVISION modular frame system – built from durable, 100% recyclable aluminium – offers the flexibility needed for bold, creative design while reducing reliance on single-use components.
Technology plays a key role in making this approach scalable. RFID tracking has been integrated into the stock and connectors to enable accurate asset management, prevent material loss, and support circular use across multiple events.
Flooring choices also reflect the company’s sustainability priorities. Full Circle uses 100% recyclable polypropylene carpet, which requires no water to produce and eliminates latex, significantly lowering its carbon footprint. Across the board, LED lighting and eco-certified printing processes are standard, supporting a low-impact delivery model without compromising quality.
Rethinking waste: Circular in action
Through its overhauled waste management systems, Full Circle now diverts ove
r 80% of event waste from landfills. The company has invested in advanced baling systems, streamlined separation for materials like Foamex and Dibond, and built strong relationships with recyclers who feed recovered materials back into the circular economy.
This approach not only reduces environmental impact but also sets a replicable model for sustainable production within the exhibition sector.
Carbon reduction strategy: From energy to emissions
Full Circle has laid out a clear roadmap toward carbon neutrality across Scope 1 and 2 emissions. By transitioning to cleaner energy sources, upgrading machinery, and refining operational processes, such as automating printing and optimising transport, the company has already made significant strides in cutting its footprint.
With 85% of its event products drawn from reusable hire stock, Full Circle dramatically reduces the environmental load of each show while maintaining the high standards clients expect.
Tackling Scope 3: Industry-wide collaboration
Understanding that Scope 3 emissions represent the broader ecosystem of an event, Full Circle is working closely with suppliers and partners to improve environmental outcomes across its value chain. Supported by industry experts such as Green Circle Solutions and powered by data, the company uses emission-tracking tools to analyse hotspots, identify opportunities, and drive sustainable change at scale.
Community, people, and purpose
Sustainability isn’t just environmental- it’s social. Full Circle is deeply committed to supporting its people and community, with ongoing investment in staff development, gender-balanced leadership, and a strong focus on health and wellbeing.
Recent community initiatives include donating materials and labour to refurbish a local neurological rehabi
litation gym, supporting food banks, and participating in seasonal outreach for vulnerable groups. The company also partners with universities and offers apprenticeships to help cultivate the next generation of exhibition professionals.
Looking ahead: Ambition meets action
Full Circle’s long-term sustainability vision includes:
- Achieving verified carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
- Continuing to divert more than 80% of waste from landfills.
- Sourcing more from local suppliers to reduce transport emissions.
- Elevating industry standards by sharing insights and best practices.
A Greener circle
At Full Circle, sustainability is more than a destination – it’s a daily discipline. Every innovation, every investment, and every initiative is grounded in a simple belief: the events industry must be as inspiring in its responsibility as it is in its creativity.
The journey is ongoing. The mission is clear. And the commitment is unwavering.
Together, we’re shaping a better future – one event at a time.
