SEC Glasgow announces strengthened stewarding and security partnerships

The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has introduced an updated stewarding and security service across its three flagship venues. Following a rigorous procurement process, the SEC has confirmed the continuation of its long-standing partnership with G4S, who will remain as the stewarding and security services partner for the SEC Centre and SEC Armadillo.

In a parallel move, SecuriGroup (SGL) has been appointed as the new stewarding and security services partner for the OVO Hydro with a focus on customer experience aligned to the SEC’s new strategy in this area.

This dual-partner model allows for a more tailored, venue-specific approach to stewarding and security across the Campus which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Of the appointments, Colin Hartley, director of operations at the SEC, said: “The safety, security and comfort of our visitors, clients and colleagues is absolutely paramount. As we enter our 40th year, these values remain at the heart of our business and our ambitions for the future.”

Chris Burr, managing director, G4S Events, said “We are proud to be extending our long-standing relationship with the SEC and look forward to playing a continued role in supporting its reputation for world-class events. Our team takes great pride in keeping people safe and helping ensure every visitor’s experience is a positive one.”

This announcement comes as the SEC celebrates 40 years as one of the UK’s most important event campuses.

With millions of visitors welcomed since opening its doors in 1985, the campus continues to evolve with security, stewardship and customer experience remaining central to its future plans.
