EN Indy Expo and Awards 2025: Submission guide and categories

The EN Indy Expo and Awards will return on 17 October 2025 for its sixth annual edition, providing a platform for independent event organisers to connect with exhibitors and address industry challenges through panel discussions and roundtables. The evening ceremony will celebrate achievements across the independent events sector.

Submission Details:

Entries for the EN Indy Awards are free, with no limit on the number of categories a participant can enter, provided submissions meet the criteria and include supporting documentation. The submission deadline is 29 August 2025, with entries submitted via Lineup Ninja. Finalists will be announced by the week commencing 8 September 2025.

The awards will follow the expo in the evening at a different London venue.

Categories:

  • Acquisition of the Year: Recognising successful acquisition that enhance growth and market presence.

  • Best 365 Community: Honouring organisers who engage their communities year-round.

  • Best Event Partnership: Celebrating impactful partnerships that benefit events and organisers.

  • Best Independent Consumer Show Launch: For new consumer exhibitions demonstrating strong impact.

  • Best Independent Trade Show Launch: For new trade shows excelling in execution and impact.

  • Best Indy Commercial Team: Awarding sales teams with outstanding results and strategies.

  • Best Indy Marketing Team: Recognising marketing teams with exceptional growth and creativity.

  • Best Indy Event Director: Celebrating leadership, commercial success, and team culture.

  • Best Indy Operations Team: Highlighting operational excellence and innovation.

  • Best Supporting Supplier and Venue: Acknowledging suppliers and venues providing exceptional service.

  • Consumer Show of the Year: For outstanding independent consumer exhibitions.

  • David & Goliath Award: For smaller or emerging shows competing successfully against larger events.

  • Content Programme of the Year: Recognising innovative and impactful event content.

  • Employer of the Year: Highlighting excellence in recruitment and staff retention.

  • Industry Disruptor Award: For companies introducing significant innovations.

  • Industry Impact Award: Celebrating shows with notable contributions to industry growth.

  • Exhibition Growth of the Year: Recognising shows with significant year-on-year growth.

  • Start-up Organiser of the Year: For new organisers achieving notable commercial and industry impact.

  • Trade Show of the Year: Divided into categories for shows below and above 4,000 sqm.

  • Indy Organiser of the Year: Celebrating overall excellence in independent event organisation.

Each category requires a minimum of three valid submissions to proceed. Shortlists will be curated carefully, with no more than eight finalists per category. The awards ceremony will take place on 17 October 2025 at the EN Indy Expo.
