UFI has opened registration for its 2025 Business Mission, targeting Latin America’s growing exhibition market with a two-day programme in Bogotá on 14-15 October.
The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry will bring international organisers, venue operators and service providers to Bogotá to explore business opportunities in the region. Corferias, one of Colombia’s biggest exhibition venues, will host the mission at its international business and exhibition centre.
With more than 65 years’ experience, Corferias contributes 7.4% to Bogotá’s GDP through over 65 proprietary exhibitions, according to UFI. Corferias is UFI’s main Latin American partner and operates over 44,000sqm across 17 pavilions.
Programme highlights include presentations on exhibition industry opportunities in Bogotá led by Corferias and local authorities, plus a LATAM spotlight session by Sebastián Witt from JWC. Manually scheduled one-on-one meetings aim to facilitate business connections between international and regional players.
The Business Mission is targeting:
- International organisers exploring regional expansion
- Latin American venue operators seeking international clients
- Government agencies promoting event destinations
- Service providers showcasing solutions to potential clients
Ana Maria Arango, UFI’s regional director for Central and South America, and Juanita Upegui, senior project coordinator, are leading the organisation.
The business mission comes as UFI approaches its centenary celebration. UFI’s 100th anniversary celebrations will take place at the 92nd Global Congress in Hong Kong on 19-22 November 2025.
