HYPER JAPAN returns to London

HYPER JAPAN Festival 2025, one of the UK’s premier celebrations of Japanese culture, is set to return to Olympia London from 18 to 20 July, bringing a vibrant taste of Tokyo to the capital.

The event, which has been held at the venue since 2016, will feature over 450 independent exhibitors showcasing everything from cutting-edge technology and anime to traditional crafts, fashion, and cuisine.

HYPER JAPAN Festival is organised by Cross Media Ltd., a UK-based company specialising in the promotion of Japanese culture.

Founded in 1987, Cross Media launched the first HYPER JAPAN event in London in 2010 under the initiative of its president and representative director, Kazuhiro Marumo.

As of 2024, the company is a subsidiary of the TOPPAN Group, a global communications and technology leader.

This year’s edition invites visitors of all ages to explore a cultural landscape rich in both tradition and innovation.

Beyond browsing, guests can immerse themselves in hands-on workshops, including wagashi-making, furoshiki wrapping, origami, manga illustration, tea ceremonies, and sword arts. These experiential sessions offer engaging and meaningful insight into Japanese culture.

HYPER JAPAN is supported by a network of official partners and sponsors, including the Tokyo office of Japan Publications Trading Co. Ltd., as well as key Japanese organisations such as JETRO, JNTO, CLAIR, the Japan Foundation, and the Embassy of Japan in London.
