Rugby legend Will Greenwood joins speaker line-up for beam 2025 Annual Forum

beam, the association for the business events, accommodation and meetings sector, has announced that Will Greenwood MBE, Rugby World Cup winner and respected commentator, will join the speaker line-up at the 2025 Annual Forum, taking place 3-4 July at Novotel London West.

Greenwood, known for his inspiring insights on leadership, teamwork and high performance under pressure, will speak on day one of the forum in a fireside chat hosted by Nick Gold, managing director of Speaker’s Corner – one of beam’s headline sponsors.

Greenwood’s session will offer delegates an energising and reflective perspective on what it means to lead through adversity, build trust under pressure and create winning cultures – lessons that translate far beyond the rugby pitch and straight into the world of business and hospitality.

Louisa Watson, beam chair, said: “Will Greenwood brings the kind of perspective and presence that transforms a room. His story speaks directly to this year’s theme of honesty, bravery, and human connection – and we know delegates will take away real value from it.”

The addition of Greenwood elevates an already powerful line-up, which includes an opening address from Jack Rankin MP, officer of the APPG for Events, who will highlight the economic and social impact of the sector.

The forum’s opening keynote, Marianna Saraceni, will deliver an inspiring session on ‘Finding Your Happiness – Why Human Connection Matters’. Helen Packham, a TEDx speaker coach and leadership strategist, will share how storytelling and vulnerability can build trust and transform personal influence and the economist John Rowland will offer a clear and practical outlook on the shifting economic landscape.

One of the breakout sessions will be led by renowned international speaker and author Nigel Risner, whose session, ‘How to Communicate Like an Effective Zookeeper’, Risner will share real-world stories that empower attendees to lead with courage and authenticity.

The programme also includes expert panels, with a closing session designed to leave attendees more connected, more human, and more inspired.

The forum will conclude with a relaxed day two hangover hangout brunch on Friday morning – designed to bring everyone back together over great coffee, comfort food and shared stories from the night before, following the lively ‘Havana Nights’ Cuban street food, dancing and entertainment on 3 July.
