beam has announced the return of its annual Finance Forum, which will take place on 9 June 2025 at Leonardo Hinkley Island.
This year’s forum brings together senior finance professionals and venue and agency leaders to address real-world financial and operational risks and challenges facing the business events, accommodation and meetings sector.
The agenda, which includes AI-driven payment fraud and cyber liability, was developed in response to member feedback identifying the concern over the growing threat of cybercrime, with high-profile cases currently dominating UK headlines.
Julie Shorrock, who sits on the beam advisory board for finance, said: “Alongside cyber resilience, the day’s programme will also explore key financial topics such as billback processes, evolving payment terms, and the use of data to support financial planning and transparency.”
Confirmed speakers include experts from NatWest, Needham Insurance, Computer Network Defence Ltd and Good Business Pays, offering practical insights and strategies tailored to the sector.
Louisa Watson, beam Chair, said: “Agents are highly engaged with these issues, and I encourage all members to take part and collaborate. By working together, we can be more effective in protecting our finances, our clients, and our brand reputations.”
Each beam member is invited to attend with at least one senior finance colleague, encouraging more robust discussion and knowledge-sharing across teams.
Members can register here to secure their places and join beam in addressing sector-specific financial risks and strengthening partnerships.
