Freemans Event Partners has partnered with the British Street Food Awards (BSFA), an annual competition that celebrates street food traders across the UK.
The partnership will support the BSFA’s 15th year of regional heats, leading up to a national final. The event will also introduce new award categories and provide a platform for UK street food traders to compete on an international stage.
Regional heats will take place throughout the summer of 2025. The national final is scheduled for 28 September 2025 at the Food St Market in London. The UK champion will then compete in the European Street Food Awards Grand Final in Munich.
The partnership aims to support innovation in the UK’s food and drink industry. Freemans Event Partners CEO Matt Luscombe said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the British Street Food Awards for their 15th year. This event is a brilliant platform for emerging talent, celebrating creativity and flavour. Our partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting innovation and excellence in the UK’s food and drink industry.”
Richard Johnson, founder of the awards, added: “After 15 years of hunting down the new food heroes, we’re delighted to champion flirty, low-commitment dining. It’s inclusive. And in a world like ours, that’s a positive message right now. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with Freemans Event Partners to take the British Street Food Awards to new heights in our 15th year.”
Award categories include returning favourites such as Best Burger, Best Vegetarian, Sustainable Award, and the People’s Choice. New categories include Best Digital Content Creator, Best Food Hall, Future Food Legend, and Best Looking, which will be voted for by the public.
