Jacobs Media, global platform for the travel and hospitality industries, has announced the launch of the first Connections Cruise Arabia event, scheduled to take place in March 2026. The two-day event will be held in the Gulf region and is expected to attract more than 300 senior leaders and stakeholders from the global cruise and travel sectors.
Part of Connections, a Jacobs Media brand, the B2B event will explore both inbound and outbound cruise opportunities, showcasing the region’s potential for cruise lines, ports, DMCs, investors and government bodies.
The event will feature interactive panels covering topics such as infrastructure, sustainability, regional development and the economic impact of cruise tourism. The ‘New to Cruise’ platform will provide training to help the global travel industry increase its understanding of the cruise sector.
Globally, the cruise industry is projected to exceed 35 million passengers in 2026, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. The Gulf region, located between East and West, is considered a promising area for cruise expansion and investment, with an increasing number of cruise lines adding Gulf ports to their itineraries.
Clive Jacobs, chairman and founder of Jacobs Media, said: “Connections Cruise Arabia is a powerful extension of the Connections portfolio, which has driven progress in the travel industry over the last 10 years through the ‘Connections Way’ – a pioneering event format of forging meaningful business relationships through shared experiences.
“There has been significant investment in the region as a future hub for the burgeoning global cruise industry, and we are delighted to support and drive these ambitious plans. Connections Cruise Arabia will be more than an annual event; it will serve as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration and leadership for the cruise sector in the Gulf and beyond.”
