International consultancy for the culture, entertainment and mega-event sectors, BLR WORLD, has appointed Lisa Pennington (pictured) as its new chief operating officer (COO). She will be based out of the BLR WORLD Dubai office in the UAE and take up a global remit. Pennington brings over 25 years of global experience in governance and leadership as an expert in sports and events, as well as 10 years’ experience of delivering events in the Middle East.
Pennington worked for FIFA as director services in the Event Operations Division. She also has delivered projects at mega events such as Olympic Games and Expo 2020, as well as global sports sponsorship hospitality programmes for for UAE and UK governments.
